Frequently Asked Questions
Bookings
DOG TRAINING
Payment is due on the day of the training session. An invoice will be sent out to you along with your training report.
LUXURY BOARDING
A deposit of 50% is required with all new bookings, and the remainder of the fees are due
before your dog’s arrival.
SOCIAL ACTIVITIES
Due to only being allowed small groups of dogs (council regulations) spaces are limited, and so payment is required before the day to secure your spot.
How do you keep our dog safe and well?
VETERINARY CARE
In an emergency we will contact your own vets in the first instance, or alternatively
treatment will by provided by our veterinary clinic on Court Street in Waiuku (Franklin Vets). Vet bills are the
responsibility of the owner. If your dog causes another dog an injury then you must cover
any medical care.
VACCINATIONS
Please make sure all vaccinations are up to date. Dogs should be inoculated against
distemper, hepatitis, leptospirosis, parvovirus, parainfluenza and kennel cough. We accept 3
yearly vaccinations and titre testing and we require to see your dog’s vet card before
accepting them as a new client.
Flea and worm treatments must be up to date for all walks, boarding and training.
DIETARY REQUIREMENTS
We often use treats for training purposes, and mostly use Ziwipeak which is a grain free air-dried dog
food. For homestay dogs we regularly feed chicken broth which is highly nutritious and beneficial in helping to protect joints. Please
advise us if you would prefer your dog not to have these treats.
